K&W gave me an estimate that even my insurance company didn\'t argue with and they offered to take out a couple of extra scratches at no extra cost.  I dropped my truck off and 2 days later I got it back and it was extremely clean...they washed it for free. 15413 Farm Creek Dr. Wood bridge VA Ask for Jim Wiggins 2007-05-01 14:18:16

NMCG-LL DID NOT PROVIDE THE LE
    spacer
Hi! We would just like to send a warning out there to companies who would like to do business with a company called National Marketing Consulting Group LLC or NMCG-LLC. We started inquiring about their services last March or April of this year about their Lead Generation services, namely Internet Leads. We were able to speak with Mark Gallardo the Marketing Director of the company and they said that they would set up a website that would create traffic and that they would deliver those leads to us. They asked for a payment of $1,500 prior to the start of the service. After the payment, they gradually disappeared off the radar so to speak. The company is still running as far as we know and we could still contact them. But every time we got a hold of them they always tell us to call back another time or that they are on the process of setting up the website. We have been waiting and calling them for two months now and there have been no clear response from them. We hope anyone who would want to do business with would consider doing a background check first before doing any transactions with them.

So far this is the best property management company that I have worked with. They are polite, responsive and knowledgeable. They work hard to get me the best prices on maintenance issues with my houses and there fees are great as well. Perfect if your looking for a full property management service. The staff has been a blessing to work with and helped me every step of the way with a few of the problems that I have had.

    Poor Customer Service
    spacer
I purchased a Polaroid under the cabinet LCD TV with DVD Player which I gave for a Christmas gift. After about 6 months later the LCD burned out. We only used the item about twice a week, if that. I can’t remember the model number right now, but I do know the product cost about $360.00. We called Polaroid to discuss the warranty and how we were going to get the item replaced. After calling Polaroid to discuss the defective product, Polaroid told us that we needed to pay $120 for the repair or replacement the product. Polaroid agreed to have a carrier such as FEDEX or UPS pick up the item, so we boxed it up for shipping and waited for our pre-paid shipping number. We never got that number. Polaroid told us that they would provide us with shipping information but every time we called them they said someone would be getting back to us. After numerous phone calls to the company and about 5 weeks later, we just stop calling. Apparently, no one at Polaroid was going to call us back or was concerned about their customer support or warranty. It is very unfortunately, to lack of urgency Polaroid uses concerning their loyal customers who have supported their company over many years Our dissatisfaction in their customer service highlights their products support. Recently, I was in a computer repair store and I seen that same under-the-cabinet LCD TV with DVD Player on the shelf I said, to the repair technician at the shop, “I bet you, I can tell you exactly what’s wrong with that Polaroid;” he said’ what? I said, “The LCD is burned out right” and he said, “How did you know” – I said, because I have one. I was going file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau – but would that had really helped. 2007-05-15 10:13:07

    Medicare scams
    spacer
Federal authorities charged more than 100 doctors, nurses and physical therapists in nine cities with Medicare fraud Thursday, part of a massive nationwide bust that snared more suspects than any other in history. More than 700 law enforcement agents fanned out to arrest 111 people accused of illegally billing Medicare more than $225 million. The arrests are the latest in a string of major busts in the past two years as authorities have struggled to pare the fraud that\'s believed to cost the government between $60 billion and $90 billion each year. Stopping Medicare\'s budget from hemorrhaging that money will be key to paying for President Barack Obama\'s health care overhaul. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/111-charged-in-Medicare-scams-apf-602242571.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=main&asset=&ccode=

They I ordered one they said on the phone was in stock but got an email 3 days later telling me they weren\'t available. They\'re playing a game trying to get you to pick something way more expensive. The tire I ordered was around 70 dollars and their eventual \"solution\" was to buy one from them at 110.

    Shareasale Refused To Pay Comm
    spacer
I have been a faithful affiliate of Shareasale for nearly 9 months without a problem. Drove alot of quality leads and sales, spending all of my commissions on advertising for their merchants. So today, I log into my account to verify my payment for the month. I notice that the payment was rejected and my account was limited without cause or warning. So, I call their company and Bethany, an extremely useless customer service rep, said she would create a ticket and would send it to the managers (who, mind you, aren\'t there, yet somehow remotely just got done cancelling my payment). I wait a few hours and go to log into my account, and low and behold - I can no longer log in!! So, I call back, and again Bethany remembers me and states that they can do these things without cause or warning, and that these \'managers\' would contact me. No matter what the terms of service are, is it not a NORMAL business practice to contact the affiliate (or partner) to tell them something isn\'t right? I received no emails whatsoever, and STILL haven\'t heard a peep. Also, this Bethany woman stated they do this to protect the merchant. Funny - alot of merchants would fail to exist without the efforts of affiliates. WE go out and promote for them, saving them advertising expense, time, and find their targeted sales. I am owed in the neighborhood of $2,116.00 - which I am now going to have to litigate to get. Which, I will succeed in getting as I have screenshots and plenty of info.

If shopping for a used car in the Frederick, MD area, stay away from Mountain Motors. I purchased a car there a little over 2 months ago and had problems since I pulled off the lot. I don\'t know who they have inspecting their cars but they must be just passing out inspection tickets. Mountain Motors provided very poor Customer Service which caused me a lot of stress. Now, I hear a lot of complaining about them. If someone would have said something earlier it could have save me money, time and stress. I don\'t want another person going through what I went through with them. 2007-04-25 08:09:26

    Military Identification
    spacer
When I got carded at Waldbaums while buying some beer, I showed my military ID, which happens to be a federally issued ID whereas a drivers license is a state issued ID. Upon showing my military ID, the cashier stated that they could not accept this as a valid form of ID. I even went so high as the manager, who stated the same thing; again saying that Waldbaums doesn\'t accept military ID as a valid form of ID. I refuse to shop at Waldbaums because they will not honor the ID of the men and women that serve in our armed forces. 2007-04-21 21:10:34

    Horrible Business Ethics
    spacer
The complaint didn\'t post so here it is. P4 Technologies fired approximately 20 employees and have not paid them for over a month\'s worth of work. In addition, their insurance coverage ended at the begining of the month but they continued to deduct insurance from employee’s paychecks. In addition to all of this, when tax season came around they conveniently neglected to report that I had paid any Virginia State taxes when it in fact was being taken out of check every pay period. 2007-04-21 21:21:34 P4 Technologies, Inc, Intellitrex 14 Irongate Drive # A Waldorf, MD 20602-2752

I\'ve also had work done at Pep Boys they did a rack n pinion on a Taurus back in 2000 in Virginia. Well needed to say they didn\'t do it right and fluid leaked from it and went on to the exhaust and the car caught on fire. Yes we had full coverage on the vehicle Thank Goodness. But my children were in the car just minutes before they were dropped off at school and 1 mile later when we were trying to take it to a dealer like they suggested because they didn\'t know what was wrong we lost the car. The insurance took over the claim and we didn\'t have to pay anymore for the vehicle. We never shop their or at any other Pep Boys again. We don\'t trust them. 2008-03-28 15:02:00

    Biggest Scam Ever!
    spacer
This Company has been notorious for having complaints it seems! I wish I would have known this before I called them. I called and asked them to come out and give me freon and then an estimate for a comparison. The technician told me it would be $150 but insisted on a check for cash. The next day my unit didn\'t work at all! I found a cap for the valve off and the electrical box left opened! When I called the company to ask for him to come back and fix it, they said they weren\'t responsible since they didn\'t take the call as a repair, but a free estimate and since I made the check to cash, they weren\'t responsible at all! They acted like they were going to fire the guy, and the woman that was the supervisor said she couldn\'t get in touch with him or the owner. The next day I saw him driving down the street and beeped my horn at him!
I reported them to the Dept of Regulation and then the guy called me to tell me that this woman is the owner\'s mother! He told me they would fix the problem. They were all calling and constantly telling me lies, however, they never intended to do anything and now I have gone to an attorney.
My attorney has told me that it is common practice for shady air conditioner businesses to act as if they are doing repairs and do nothing. You have to actually stand over them and watch them! Have nothing to do with this company!!! 2007-07-06 09:09:37

    EBay

Einstein said it best when he said \"There are only two things in this universe that are infinite. The universe and mans stupidity, and I\'m not sure about the universe.” These are eBay customers. As a seller I\'m tires of these jerks that have nothing to do but whine over a dollar or two on shipping, the cost of an item, or any one of hundreds of other trivial things that amount to less than you could buy a cup of coffee for. YOU SEE THE COSTS! YOU DON\'T LIKE THEM...DON\'T BID... Don’t bicker, don’t bitch, don’t bid. It’s as simple as that. Have you got a problem with eBay? Write to them. They\'ll be sure and send you a form letter that has little or nothing to do with the question that you have asked. You can always go to their live help. What a joke that is. That is to say if you don\'t mind watching your screen for two hours waiting for someone to respond. EBAY SUCKS! I hope it doesn’t take too much longer before somebody comes up with a viable competitor. Now the rant is over... No it’s not… I’m still pissed off at eBay and they still suck. 2007-07-11 01:31:21

    Terrible Customer Service At A
    spacer
Airfare.com has terrible customer service... I bought my flight ticket from airfare.com. The paper ticket that they sent me (which I booked online through airfare.com website) was to leave SFO on Jul 13 at 11:15 am and arrive to Munich on Jul 14 10:40 am. Then my flight from Munich to Istanbul would leave on the same day at 11:20 am. Airfare.com sent me my paper ticket with this itinerary. Later they changed my flight from Munich to Istanbul without telling me anything or having my consent. They changed it such that I would leave Munich at 7:20 pm. They never sent me a paper ticket with this update and I\'d have never known that they made this change if I haven\'t checked my reservation myself. With this itinerary change, I have to wait at Munich airport for more than 8 hours and arrive at my final destination Istanbul very late. This is very inconvenient. I contacted airfare.com customer service multiple times. they continuously blamed the airlines, they kept me on hold many times and even hung up the phone on me. They promised they will fix this and help me but they never did. I even contacted the airlines (both US airways and Lufthansa) on the phone as well as at the ticket counter at the airport. But since this is a paper ticket bought through the travel agent, they could not help me but direct me to the travel agent (airfare.com). Airfare.com has very poor customer service and I was not being treated professionally. They never worked with me on changing my flight time. I don\'t have to go through Munich. They can put me on other flights too. All I want is to minimize my wait time in Germany and not be charged anything extra for something that I didn\'t mess up. Airfare.com should have never sold me that ticket since airlines says 40 minutes between two flights is too short (which is why apparently they wanted airfare.com to change my flight time). In short, I wasn\'t treated professionally by the airfare.com customer service reps. Very poor service. I will not use them again. 2007-07-11 20:17:41 Airfare Company Address 5110 Ridgefield Rd., Suite 409, Bethesda MD 20816

    Dating Service
    spacer
I paid $2,495 on 6/13/06 to join Table for Six – an organization to help singles connect. I specifically asked and was told that women only slightly outnumbered the men in membership but more men were joining all the time. Between June and September, I was invited to (and attended) four dining experiences. It was nearly always the same group of men but I met new women at every dinner. Discussion with other members revealed that women received invitations every 3-4 weeks while men received invitations 1-2 times a week. This clearly indicates the ratio of women to men was at least 3:1 and that “slightly outnumbers” was a great exaggeration and misrepresentation in order to get my membership. The contract I signed stipulated that refunds would be allowed after a $1,350 processing fee was deducted and members attended 5 one-on-one dates @ $50 each, and attended 15 dinners @ $20 each (which I attended four). I stopped attending dinners in September 2006. On 3/26/07, I mailed a letter to Table for Six requesting a refund of $595. From my membership fee, I graciously deducted the processing fee and payment for the required number of dinners/dates, even though I attended only 4 of the 15 dinners required and none of the one-on-one dates required. I did not receive a response to my letter. I called Table for Six on 4/27/07. They said they had not received my letter so I faxed a copy to them. On 4/30/07 I received an e-mail from them stating “Our Regional Manager said we can’t release a refund unless you have attended the appropriate amounts of dinners/events”. I find this ridiculous as I was willing to pay for the required number of dinners/events that I did not attend and was only asking for a fraction of the exorbitant fee I paid. 2007-07-11 21:34:46 8001 Irvine Center Dr Ste 460 Irvine, CA 92618

Expert Appliance Is A Bait And
    spacer
I graduated from Vatterott College\'s Computer Systems & Network Technology Associates Degree Program about 6 months ago. Vatterott DID NOT live up to their promises. Their promotional literature stated that the classes would cover setting up and deploying a network (OOPS); it didn\'t. We didn\'t set up even one server. The enrollment counselor said the material taught was advanced and highly technical; it wasn\'t. I was told the instructors were experienced in the fields that they taught; they weren\'t. The student handbook said that each ten week course would consist of at least 60 hours of lecture time; they didn\'t. In fact most classes included less than 25 hours of lecture time. The instructors basically just gave assignments right out of the book and told us to read the chapter and do the review questions at the end of the chapter, while the instructors would sit there and browse the internet and talk about their day. I\'m sorry, but I could have just bought the books and got the same education as everyone else. I was the only one in my class who took the CCNA exam, which I didn\'t even come close to passing, because the book was outdated and the practice software that was given to us, which I studied for over 2 months and passed every practice exam with a 98% or higher was no help at all. I guarantee no one else even took the exam after they saw my results and saw how hard I tried. I was also assured a job in the computer/networking field, but now the only thing that they can offer me is telemarketing or over the phone sales jobs which I could have done without the education. I would never even think of doing telemarketing, it\'s just not me. I would not want to spend my day dealing with people hanging up on me or cursing me out. I basically wasted $34,000 to be a telemarketer and their excuse is \"you have to start somewhere\", and they also keep pushing these mock interviews on me. I took 90 weeks of so-called Gen. Ed. classes which was all about making resumes and interviewing. I keep telling them that I have applied to every computer shop and computer related company in town yet I can\'t even get an interview so it\'s not my interview skills and I was even told by their Career Services that my resume was perfect. I don\'t think the companies around here even hire Vatterott graduates unless they were previously employed in the field. I can\'t even get a job at the local Dollar General or Carsons Nurseries due to my education. After 6 months I still have no job and I have to start paying my student loans by next month. For $34,000 this is all they can do for me? I feel completely ripped off. I am even thinking of restarting my education with a more reputable institution such as OTC or SMS. But the problem with that is that no colleges will accept Vatterott\'s quarter credit hours, so I would have to redo my entire education if I went that route. The bottom line is that Vatterott College cost twenty times more than the community college, and it wasn\'t even worth the time I spent in the program. 7/15/2007 10:47:42 PM Vatterott College 3850 S. I had my MP3 player stolen out of my car at a Jiffy Lube in Des Moines Iowa on Merle Hay rd. Management treated me like the criminal. The next day they found my MP3 player in the car of one of the workers who was working there on a work release program. Jiffy Lube never even offered and I’m sorry. I had to pay to be robbed! I have heard similar stories about Jiffy Lubes across the country. Don’t go there. They are crooks! 2007-07-16 23:17:09

    SIMPLE SET POOLS
    spacer
As a consumer of a simple set pool, I find myself being truly duked by their services. Last summer, i invested 250 dollars on a 14x3 pool and chemicals. We got to use the pool a total of 3 months. After fall started we proceeded to take down our pool, had it professional dried, and also was very careful with chemical build up while it was up. We folded in on the sides and then squared it off and proceeded to store it in its box in our personal closet. But low and behold, we put it up this year, gets half way full, and it bust. simple set says there liners are only guaranteed for 6 months and that there certain ways for storage but do you see all of this before buying- no! It’s a big surprise when you open and read instructions and also the info does not give any save way of storing your pool so that it remains intact. As a consumer I feel like they have ripped me a new one and they will not replace my pool. Word of mouth can spread real quickly and I promise that this consumer’s mouth will be heard 2007-07-20 08:33:12

    Wireless Phone Service

ALLTEL wireless problems with getting billing issues resolved - they let my underage niece buy a new phone without my consent and extended the two year warranty without my knowledge. Then when there was trouble with the phone they gave her a loaner, then she returned loaner phone right to the store, then they say they didn\'t get it and are charging me $165 for a loaner phone that she returned to them - they won\'t take charges off and keep disconnecting my phones - when talking to them they send me to their tech people who don\'t do anything but tell me to talk to the store, the store tells me it\'s been taken care of but every month the $165 is back on bill and they disconnect for it - I can\'t get anywhere with them for a resolution - plus I thought it was illegal to let someone other than the person who\'s name is on the bill do anything to my account. 2007-07-23 15:31:53

    Horriffic Customer Service
    spacer
This situation has been going on since day 1 of this service; I am in a 2 year contract that expires in November 2007. The account has NEVER billed or functioned correctly. They constantly charge me for text messaging even when I didn\'t have it or want it, they have told me repeatedly \"I promise, this will fix it\", and it NEVER has. This month when I call the \"minutes\" number to check, it says I have 800??? text messages available, I have used 178 & I have gone over my messages by one, last month same thing, but I only had 300 available & used 100 or so, but still was over by one. I have had to call at least 100 (conservative estimate) times to get this & the other problems fixed over the last 2 years, that is over 4 times a month... I still have NO satisfaction. EVERY time I call I have an EXTREMELY hard time getting to a supervisor, and I would estimate that at the most, 15% of the times I have asked (repeatedly) resulted in an actual supervisor being on the phone. Out of the hundreds of times I have asked (repeatedly), close to 70% of those requests resulted in being hung up on intentionally or transferred BACK INTO THE QUE!!!!!! My bill is once again $50 over what it should be, last month it was $150 over what it should have been. The account has been changed NUMEROUS times to try to resolve the discrepancies, but NEVER has come out right. I get very tense and angry every time I see the Nextel logo, especially when it is in my mail box because I know the impending stress, frustration & hell that is coming Today I again started the process with them, the first call I was as polite as I could muster & gave them all the info they requested in including the phone number that I had just entered on the keypad so they could \"give me better service\", I asked for a supervisor (repeatedly) and was transferred to the que again, after getting the 2nd person for the day I refused to give her the information & requested a supervisor, after 15 minutes of silence without anyone checking to see if I was still there I got Tyler, his TT code is 64075 (supposedly), he claimed to be in Corp Care in Canada, HE IS NOT A SUPERVISOR!!!!! I asked again (repeatedly, more than 5 times) for a supervisor, he continued to talk over me & not even give me the opportunity to speak without him quoting \"policy\" to me. He finally said \"Here is MY policy\" and then he hung up on me. There are not words to adequately describe how I feel about Nextel. 2007-07-23 15:37:58

    Computer Warranty
    spacer
I bought a computer from Circuit City along with their warranty in September 2005. I was told the warranty would cover my computer and make it work like it did when it was new if anything happened to it. Well May 12, 2007 something did happen and I called the warranty company. What a joke it has been since. They have replaced the hard drive, motherboard, and ram. Cannot get system cd\'s to work. They had me ship it to them for replacement. On July 18 I got a phone call from them saying it is software issues and they don\'t cover it. Well who do they think caused the software issues? I called July23 and they claimed they was shipping it yesterday back to and they would give me the tracking numbers. Well I haven\'t heard a word yet. No calls, no emails. Do Not Buy the warranty from Circuit City unless you are prepared for the run around. When I get my computer back I will have to take it to somebody who can fix it. I want them to pay for it or pay for a replacement like I was told. 2007-07-24 14:26:17

    Sofa And Love Seat
    spacer
Location: 23 W. Maplewood Mall, 1st Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19144. On March 25, 2007 I hired Mr. Hasan to reupholster my sofa and loveseat. Mr. Hasan assured me that he would complete the project and have my furniture back in six weeks or less. I signed the agreement and gave Mr. Hasan a check for 50% of the balance. He picked up my furniture on April 9 with a targeted completion date of May 16. After May 16, having heard nothing from Mr. Hasan, I made several attempts to reach him by phone to find out the status of my furniture. I left several messages but he never returned my calls. It was not until I left a message stating that unless I heard from him soon, I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau, that he finally responded. Mr. Hasan requested and I agreed to give him an additional week to week and a half to complete the job. I waited two full weeks but Mr. Hasan still did not called to let me know the status. After leaving several more phone messages and stating that I would contact the Consumer Protection Agency as well as the Better Business Bureau, Mr. Hasan left a message stating that he would deliver my furniture the next day. I called and finally spoke with him and told him that I did not want the furniture delivered until I had an opportunity to inspect it to ensure that the work had been done as agreed. I made arrangements to visit Mr. Hasan\'s shop to view the furniture. My furniture was stacked on top of and between piles of other furniture and I was unable to get a good view of it and was unable to touch it or feel the fabric. I did notice that some of the pillows were slack and limp and brought this to his attention. I also saw that the furniture was covered in wrong fabric. Since Mr. Hasan had not given me a sample of the fabric, so it was simply my word against Mr. Hasan\'s. I decided to just accept the furniture \"as is\" in order to bring the matter to conclusion, but Mr. Hasan demanded that I pay the balance in cash before he would deliver the furniture. I told Mr. Hasan that I would pay the balance once the furniture was delivered and I was able to examine it closely and make sure that the fabric had been treated with scotch guard as he had promised. = I do not feel that Mr. Hasan has presented himself as trustworthy and will be responsive to any complaints if I am dissatisfied with his work. I would like to have my furniture returned as well as some written guarantee of workmanship and a guarantee that the furniture has been scotch guarded or otherwise stain-proofed. I will then pay the remaining balance. I have been without furniture for several months instead of the several weeks Mr. Hasan promised and would like to bring this matter to a close and be rid of Mr. Hasan. Mr. Hasan presents himself as \"a vibrant member of the business community\" but my experience with him does not support this assertion, especially if he has treated his other customers the way he has treated me. = Please beware when contracting with someone like Mr. Hasan. Get everything in writing, get samples of fabrics and have the agreement witnessed and notarized. Document everything because you may end up in court trying to get fair treatment and satisfaction. = Note: After seeing my complaint posted on another site on July 19, on July 20, Mr. Hasan telephoned and agreed to deliver my furniture and to \"make something special for me free of charge\" and to accept payment by check upon delivery. He apologized and suggested \"we put this behind us and be friends.\"

    Buyer Beware - Security Alert
    spacer
It’s incredible. You’ve found an online auction seller who can offer you today’s hottest item or that one-of-a-kind article you’ve been searching for at a bargain price. You are anxious to get the item right away and agree to send the payment in cash, using a money transfer service. You think you are being cautious. You put the transaction in the name of your brother, intending to change the recipient’s name to the auction seller’s as soon as you receive your merchandise. Or perhaps you establish a test question believing that the recipient won’t be able to pick up the transaction until you give the answer. The money is sent, but the item either doesn’t arrive or is not what you were expecting. Unfortunately, the money has already been picked up. You’ve been a victim of online auction fraud. Online auction fraud Internet auctions are one of the hottest phenomena on the Web. They offer buyers a “virtual” flea market from which to choose an endless array of merchandise. No longer are you limited to shopping at your local mall. Now you can purchase goods and services from anywhere in the world, often at discounted prices. However, along with the benefits of online auctions, there is also risk. Fraudulent sellers can disappear into cyberspace, leaving buyers with few remedies against them. While Western Union isn’t associated with these sellers, our consumers are sometimes the victims of their fraudulent activity. That’s why we’re sharing this important information with you. Below are a few tips to prevent you from becoming a victim of online auction fraud: 1. Remember, Western Union recommends against using the Western Union Money Transfer® service to pay for online auction purchases. It is important to note that Western Union does not offer any type of purchase protection or escrow service and is not responsible for the nonreceipt or quality of goods or services. Western Union is in the business of transferring funds from a sender to a receiver. We are not a collection or holding service. 2. Be cautious if an online auction seller will only accept a money transfer. Most legitimate sellers will accept more than one form of payment. 3. Be sure to check out any seller references or “feedback” before you make a purchase. Please remember, however, that seller references or “feedback” can be created and may be bogus. 4. Remember that Western Union does not allow consumers to send money transfer transactions to fictitious names and doing so does not protect you. Criminals often have access to fraudulent identification, which can be very difficult to distinguish from legitimate IDs. 5. Test questions are designed for use in an emergency situation when your receiver has lost his identification. They should never be used to delay payout of a transaction and are not intended as a form of protection when purchasing goods or services from a stranger. 6. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Western Union takes the issue of consumer fraud very seriously. We value the consumers who use our services and know that they work hard for their money. When consumers lose by becoming victims of fraud, we feel like we lose too. That’s why we’re working to create greater awareness of the various types of consumer fraud. 2007-07-25 23:17:28

Watch Out For Lottery Fraud -
    spacer
It sounds too good to be true. Out of the blue you receive a telephone call or e-mail message telling you that you are the lucky winner of a foreign lottery. It might be Canada. It could be Spain, or any of a host of other countries. You might have won hundreds-of-thousands, or even millions of dollars. It sounds legitimate. The person on the other end of the line is a tax agent or a representative of some other government organization. The caller seems both reputable and sincere. He or she has answers to all your questions and is anxious to get the money to you as soon as possible. There’s just one catch. In order for the caller to release the funds, you must first pay any taxes or fees associated with your winnings. Perhaps you hesitate at this point. But the caller is convincing. And after all, what is a few thousand dollars now, when you will receive millions in just days or weeks? The caller instructs you to send the taxes or fees using a money transfer service. It’s fast, it’s easy and it will enable them to get the money to you sooner. So you send the money. But wait. It seems that there are further fees that must be paid and you are instructed to send additional funds – again using a money transfer service. The calls continue until you are no longer able or willing to send the funds. Unfortunately, the lottery winnings are never received. You have been the victim of a scam. Western Union takes the issue of consumer fraud very seriously. We value our consumers and know they work hard for their money. When our consumers lose by becoming the victim of fraud, we feel like we lose too. That’s why we’re working to create greater awareness of the various types of consumer fraud. Lottery scams Who falls victim to lottery scams? Sometimes it’s the unsuspecting. Sometimes it’s people down on their luck - people whose circumstances leave them willing to take a risk for a chance at a better life. Unfortunately, these risks seldom, if ever, pay off. Although law enforcement agencies work diligently to catch these criminals, consumers are rarely able to recoup their losses. Here are a few tips to help prevent you from becoming the victim of a lottery scam: • The Western Union Money Transfer service is a great way to send money to people you know and trust. We do not recommend using this service when sending money to a stranger or someone whose identity you can’t verify. • Legitimate organizations will not demand money before they award lottery winnings or other prizes. • If you have a concern about a solicitation, talk to family members or an attorney or even local police before making the financial decision to send money for a lottery prize. • Be aware that it is illegal for anyone from a foreign country to solicit lottery ticket sales in the United States. • Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 2007-07-25 23:22:54 Customer Service in English: Western Union Financial Services, Inc. A Very Bad Moving Day
    spacer
I scheduled a move from my home in Lexington to Mel rose a month ahead of time, reserving the date with a $100. deposit. I contracted for 3 men at $135./hr. These were advertised as professional movers. I was also told that free moving boxes would be delivered to my home a week before the move. I contacted the company to have moving boxes delivered, and was told that they never promised them, and would be charging me for boxes. I decided to get them on my own. A few days before the scheduled move, I was called by the owner, Pat, and told that the men would arrive between 12:00 and 2:00 on July 2nd, and that she’d call an hour before they came. On July 2nd, I called her at 1:30, when I still hadn’t heard from her, and was told that it would be at least a couple of hours more until they arrived, since they were running late on another job. When I called her at 4:00, I was told that she had heard from the man on the other job that he should be leaving in a half hour to come to my home, and that she\'\'d call me. At 5:00, when I still hadn’t heard from her, I called again, and was then told that they wouldn’t make it that day after all, since they were too tired. I told her that that was unacceptable and that I expected her to figure out a way to move me out. I was legally obliged to leave my old home by 5:00 that day. She said that she’d see what she could do and would get back to me. Again, she never called back, and I called her at 6:00, and it was finally determined, with the okay by my realtors, that I\'\'d be moved at 6:45 the next morning. At 6:50 the next morning a rental truck and 4 teenagers showed up at my home to move me, not the professional movers which I was promised. I had no choice by that time, but to allow them to do the move. They proceeded to spend a good amount of time looking around for a Phillips head screwdriver, asking me if I had one, and never finding one. The move out took 2 hours. One of the movers spent some of that time removing an air conditioner from a window, which I told him he could have, smashing a glass light fixture above it during the removal. He said he’d clean it up, but was called away to another site, and left it behind for me to clean. The trip to Melrose took 20 minutes, and the move in to the new house took a little over an hour. I didn’t notice until after the \"kids\" were gone that they had scratched my hallway walls moving furniture in. It will have to be repainted. Professional movers, who I thought I had hired, would have been more careful. At the end I was given a bill for two hours of time with 4 movers at $165/hour, and 2 hours of time with 3 men at $135/hour. I never contracted for four men to begin with, and they sure didn’t do the work of four men anyway. I noticed after the fact that the amount was added up wrong on the bill, and I ended up being given 50% off, but still paying $385, plus another $90 in tips for the three \"movers\". The only time the owner called me, as she kept promising she would, was on the morning of the move, probably with the hope of getting paid. I\'\'ve never felt more ripped off in my life, and I regret giving them any money in the end. I am pleased to know that my realtors have put them on the blacklist, and informed all of their agents to make future home buyers aware of this company’s incompetence and lack of professionalism. 2007-07-28 00:31:09

On 5-09-08 I had visited this establishment due to one of my employees had gave me gift certificates for this place. The owner had assisted me at the counter and when I had produced gift certificates he said he was the new owner and cannot accept these gift certificates for $20.00. He told me I would have to contact the old owner and had refused the information. The owner was also rude about the situation. The gift certificates are signed by the old owner but don’t expire until 12-08-08. Order Magazines Never Received
    spacer
I ordered Magazines online in 12/07, they took $50.00 or so out of my account and I have never received the magazines. I have called numerous times and was only able to speak to someone once as there system only allows you to hold for about 2 minutes and then you have to leave a message. It says they will contact you in 1 business day but I have never received a return call. The one time I got through I spoke with Brian who said that he was able to locate my info and would submit a ticket to see why I haven’t received my magazines. He told me I would have to call back in a week to see the status or I could e-mail them. I sent them a e-mail and I have been corresponding with a Brain Gibbs who is rude and not helpful, he said he wasn’t able to locate my information I continue to give him my information and he continues to send out the same e-mail. When I asked for a managers info that I could contact he gave me the same 800# that I have been calling and no name to ask for. I even asked for the corporate office or a complaint center and he wouldn’t give me that either. This has made me so upset as they have my money but my boyfriend doesn’t have his magazines which were a Christmas present. I have saved all my e-mails. At this point I don’t know what to do as I can never get anyone on the phone to speak with. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 2008-05-11 12:16:54

    Denying Clients Benefits -
    spacer
The \"NEW and IMPROVED\" Indiana FSSA is a huge joke. Unfortunately, I have to try and receive benefits to help me and my two children make ends meet. In being the honest and upstanding citizen that I am, I have done everything that I can to comply with their requirement to receive benefits. In doing so, I have been cut off. I am not allowed to receive Food Stamps for 6 months and was denied Medicaid because of some apparent missing documents that they cannot tell me about. I can\'t even call and complain to anyone because I keep getting re-routed and getting answering machines. I worked within this office for awhile and know the day to day operations that go on. I know that they have no clue as to what they are doing. That is why I quite there. They are losing clients documents on a daily basis, are short staffed, and are entering the information incorrectly. And because of this, the clients are being cut off and made to feel worthless and belittled every time that you call in there. What do we do about this as consumers, tax payers and those that are on the bottom of \"Their\" totum pole? 2008-05-14 09:59:25

This seat buckle didn\'t appear to be holding well. I did get rid of my seat and purchased a different collier brand. The picture isn\'t the actual picture of the seat in question.
